LEATHER HANDBAG LUTECE MINI NUBUCK TAUPE

Nubuck is a velvet-like texture leather born from slightly brushing the surface of the full-grain leather. The base of our Nubuck is also a Taurillon leather sourced from the Tannery Remy Carriat in France. The term ‘Nubuck’  should not be confused with Suede leather. Nubuck is reserved exclusively for when the full-grain leather is brushed on the exterior side.   Suede, on the other hand, means when the underside of the leather is used as exterior.  Nubuck has a ‘suede’ touch but in fact it is the result of brushing off the full-grain on the upper superior side of the leather in order to have a velvety touch.  Nubuck is often used exclusively for high-end leather goods.

This nubuck from Tannery Remy Carriat is waterproof and it does not transfer color to light color clothing. Even though the color transfer will not occur, the backside of the bag is in full-grain Taurillon instead of Nubuck in order to avoid the friction (on the backside of the bag)

The soft quality of the nubuck gently embraces the structured form of Lutece. It brings a quiet elegance to both casual styling and special occasions.
